Woodland Garden

Last year I added a small woodland garden to the front of my house. The area presented some challenges due to the north facing, tall house blocking out all of the direct sun. I turned to local woodland plants and a year later the garden is starting to look stunning. Much of the look of the garden is based on shades of green and texture since many woodland plants only flower in the early spring.

These two are a native geranium:





This one is called foam flower, it is great for ground cover and shoots up spikes of foamy white flowers in the spring.

New camera!

I got a new camera the other day and have been playing around with it. I'm really enjoying the micro lens and the flash aspects of this camera. Here are a few shots.
